Twilight Bitchcess

Who knew that games still sold out these days, especially major releases like a Zelda title? Okay, fine, a new system and its games are going to be hard to come by, but a last hurrah on a dead console that didn't even have all that many owners to begin with? COME ON, DUDES.

So I ran around today trying to find a copy of Twilight Princess for the Gamecube because I don't have a Wii, nor will I any time in the near future, and to my utter surprise, it was not to be found at either of my local "game" stores. UNHEARD OF! I guess I could've pre-ordered, but fuck that, you know?

Then I figured, fine, I'll just get it online. Sold out at Amazon. At Amazon. Sold out at BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com, and Buy.com. Even Froogle couldn't turn anything up for me. Who would've thought that this game would sell out like this? Yes, it's Zelda, but that's exactly why they should've put out tons and tons of copies. Final Fantasy XII wasn't hard to find at all in the opening days (I actually had pre-ordered that, but stores had walls lined with them). Anyway, I'm sure the game'll be worth the $60 I paid for it on an eBay auction, but it's frustrating nonetheless.

I suspect that Nintendo really didn't ship many copies of Twilight Princess for the Gamecube, which tells me that they've pretty much stuck the knife in the poor little console and twisted. For good reason? I suppose so, what with the Wii and all, but it never hurts to give an ailing console a couple swan songs in its final days. They moved Super Paper Mario to the Wii, which pretty much pisses me off. How dare they!

The game is worth $60.

Maybe people wanted Zelda more than FFXII. I know if I had to choose I'd probably go for Zelda.

I need to finish FFXII. I'd write a post about it, but seeing as everyone has all but finished it except me, I don't feel knowledgable enough on the subject to do so.

Oh also, there's way too many awesome DS titles. How am I ever going to find the money and time to play them all?

DS Lites are going for 160+ on eBay right now. Crazy.
